Malaysia's Government to the cyberspace

Government to engage bloggers in cyberspace snippet

News from The Star Online here.

My take on the government action to "meet" the bloggers in cyberspace is appropriate. They admitted that they're "lost" in the race of utilizing the new media during the 12th general election to reach the Malaysians. Their time has come (already CAME but take it for granted) to dive in and engaged bloggers in the blogosphere.

Our Deputy Prime Minister said that the government will not remain silent anymore in the cyberspace. IMO, actions will be taken to bloggers who posting baseless and wild allegations in their blogs that can cause severe wound to Malaysia's mulltiracial community and Malaysia's security. For example the Raja Petra case which Najib said he was charged with breaking the laws of the country by making baseless allegations and seditious remarks.

Now I'm waiting the reaction from other bloggers. I think the "taking action on daring bloggers" part could spark certain bloggers to raise the "freedom of speech" fight.
