Oil price doubled?

Gazprom (biggest Europe natural gas distributor) said the crude oil price will hike twice until next year.

Wow. Currently the price is making big holes through every Malaysians roof and now it will be making way to the orbit and make big ozone hole through Malaysia's sky. So what should we do?

Currently the U.S and E.U are planning to attack (read:strong diplomacy) against Iran about their nuclear activity and the "we-Malaysians-know-they-are-evil" Israelis warmongers and politicians never accepted that Iran will not making any nuclear weapons. In fact, the Israel's have their own nuclear weapons. This actions obviously driven for their own agenda to be the supreme power in the world.

The effect of oil price comes before their real attack on Iran. They speculate lots of things about oils and the war against Iran will be the main medium to escalate oil price towards the sun. Never think about escalate it down to earth.

It is unlikely one to escape life from oil. Unless I'm living in a forest, have all the appropriate abilities and knowledgeable to live in it, lots of food and water resources, maybe I will think about it twice. Wait! What about electricity? How can I turn on my PC? And what about Internet? Aghh, damn.

Life should go on

Oil price increasing was and still a shock to Malaysians. The price hike submitted "trauma" to them and certain citizens with certain political figures started to demonstrate or gathering to protest "peacefully" against the increment.

But why don't we search for the truth first on why the sudden increase of oil? Yes I know some of you will say the government should think about it and not we, the citizen. We should sit and wait, huh?

Think first before acting. Don't so suddenly shout out loud it's the government faults or Pak Lah's fault. We should think of alternatives in our life. If not fuel alternatives, we can change on lifestyle alternatives.

I felt the burden too. I'm currently thinking about the incapable too. The orphans, the OKUs, the Malaysians who live in poverty generally. But have you guys, the capable one, the not poverty one, think about government subsidies to the needed ones?

Guys, it's mathematic. More subsidies for fuel prices, less subsidies for the needed ones. More you live happier, more pressure the needed ones in their lives. Search for yourself on how the government runs their subsidy policies. That's your part of being the responsible citizens of Malaysia.

p/s: I don't really care if my English is BAD right now, because I know if I keep posting entries in English, read and talk in English, it will improve eventually.

Love your country

We should love our country. We can cherish in Malaysia without any fear being bombarded by outsiders. Put aside any issue circulating our mind because the target for us Malaysian is the better Malaysia. We can live in harmony. Peace can be among us.

So much for being an idealist, hurm?

Yet, reality has given us its invoice. We as Malaysian should pay it whether we like it or not. But what should we pay? What kind of payment should be done? How much do we have to pay? In fact, pay for what?

Racism has been the current issue among Malaysians. Certain political figures blatantly raise voice about racism and pointing fingers to other people for not being equal to other races. The question is what kind of equality he/she wants? IMO, we already have our rights in this country.

Citizens in Malaysia are in the state of confuse. Further issue of racism, who are being racist, should be stopped. This kind of argument will only end up like chicken and egg, which one comes first. If not stopped, it might result to a clash between races.

Love our country means loves the people of the country. Understanding between every each of the races in Malaysia should be the benchmark for discussing sensitive matters, mostly on cultures and religions.

Respect the constituencies, follow the 5 pillars of Malaysia, learn the history of Malaysia and we should see Malaysia will go further as a better country.

War IS a Crime

Dr Mahathir Mohamad: The Criminalisation of War

War, as we know, is devastating, horror, killed millions of humans and brought down many civilisations throughout history.

Dr Mahathir, our former number One, are making a call to us Malaysian to support the campaign against war and the criminalisation of war.

I would like to quote from his blog:
"I pointed out that it is ridiculous to regard murder as a crime punishable with the most extreme penalty yet the deliberate killings of thousands of people, mostly innocent men, women and children are regarded as proper and legal.".
For me, war crimes should be punished to whom that invading other territories and killing the innocents. War is a crime for Dr. Mahathir and I have a simple formula to conclude what Dr. Mahathir wants us to agree and struggle to achieve it:

Crime / Criminal = Subjected to trial and execution in law.
War = Crime / Criminal
And,
War =
Subjected to trial and execution in law.

Lets support "War is a Crime".

Malaysian, be alert!

I'm shocked. Another victim of drug syndicate, a disabled woman, are now being held in Pakistan jail. Reports in Utusan Online said she has been fooled by the new tactics applied by the syndicate by using SMS to the victim said she was the winner of a travelling package to Singapore. Instead, she has been brought to Pakistan and the local authority there nailed her after "trying" to smuggle drugs out from Pakistan to Malaysia.

I thought that the previous cases where two Malay girls being trapped by the drug syndicate will be a milestone for Malaysia to be more alert. But instead of fooling the woman by using "boyfriend" like the previous cases, the drug syndicate were using a simple old tactics used by money burglar to get credits from mobile phone users, the SMS!

Woow, woo...easy there. I'm not blaming either the victim or her husband that cause the event to be happen. Both of them are having a hard time right now, and I'm praying that this time she can escape any kind of execution from Pakistan's jail. But things happened, people. In other "dirty" words, sh!t happened. But my point is, we should be wary of anything that we didn't see with our eyes wide open. Think first before taking any action or stop being happy for anything we got or received without any reason.

As a Malaysian who fight drugs and its syndicate, we should remind each other to be wary of this syndicate and not falling into any kind of traps deployed by them. And pray this kind of cases will not happened upon us.

Malaysia's Government to the cyberspace

Government to engage bloggers in cyberspace snippet

News from The Star Online here.

My take on the government action to "meet" the bloggers in cyberspace is appropriate. They admitted that they're "lost" in the race of utilizing the new media during the 12th general election to reach the Malaysians. Their time has come (already CAME but take it for granted) to dive in and engaged bloggers in the blogosphere.

Our Deputy Prime Minister said that the government will not remain silent anymore in the cyberspace. IMO, actions will be taken to bloggers who posting baseless and wild allegations in their blogs that can cause severe wound to Malaysia's mulltiracial community and Malaysia's security. For example the Raja Petra case which Najib said he was charged with breaking the laws of the country by making baseless allegations and seditious remarks.

Now I'm waiting the reaction from other bloggers. I think the "taking action on daring bloggers" part could spark certain bloggers to raise the "freedom of speech" fight.

Malaysia have sovereignty over Pulau Pisang

From my previous post "Pulau Pisang to cure the scar of Batu Putih?" I have stated that another "Batu Putih" case could happen if the Malaysia government do not take any action to "secure" it first by developing the island and commercialize it.

But now I think it will not happen.

Pulau Pisang is owned by Malaysia with a proof from a treaty between Sultan Johor (Sultan Ibrahim) and the British in 1900. The treaty clearly stated that Malaysia had sovereignty over Pulau Pisang.

More details can be read in The Star Online and Utusan Malaysia.

Pulau Pisang to cure the scar of Batu Putih?

I as a Malaysian felt the sadness of losing the rights of Batu Putih to Singapore. I didn't meant to argue the results given by the ICJ but somehow I feel it is a little bit odd to lose Batu Putih instead of Middle Rocks. On the map we can see Batu Putih is located above Middle Rocks and much more near to Malaysia, to be precise, Johor.

But the question arose from my mind, were Singapore really wants to have the rights on Batu Putih because of the lighthouse or actually they wanted to expand their border? As the location of both Batu Putih and Middle Rock as aforementioned above, it is possible for Singapore to expand their border by claiming the rights of Middle Rock against Malaysia in the future. But when it will or can happen is beyond my thoughts. But I hope it will never happen. The results for the rights of Batu Putih is a scar to Malaysia's sovereignty.

Malaysia is now are focusing in Pulau Pisang, another island with a lighthouse near Pontian, Johor. But unfortunately the lighthouse is also being managed by Singapore. And the jetty on the island is also owned by Singapore. Malaysia government should and must do something on that island to secure it before another "Batu Putih" case happen. The plan to develop the island and commercialize it should be used as a scapegoat to get the total control and rights of Pulau Pisang from Singapore.

Don't let "pisang berbuah dua kali".

Below are satellite images of Pulau Pisang and its lighthouse. Click to zoom (from Google Maps):

Lets connect the dots using Pembaris

There are thousands of website that give us bloggers the chance to show ourselves to the world by submitting links to them. Mostly are outside from our country. Fortunately for me, the old "new" blogger (I've been playing with blogs since 2005 but no consistency though...but now it's the time to blog until my fingers cramped!) I've found a good Malaysian directory website named "Pembaris". I stumbled upon it yesterday and quickly submit my blog address to it.

I found Pembaris is an exciting site to go and it should be promoted by us bloggers just as to support them to grow (they know what to do to promote us and promote themselves too :-) ). When they growing bigger, the chance for people to search our blog is also higher.

Pembaris is just not for directory listing. They also have forum for signed members to have discussion on any things. And Pembaris's looks good too. So, go to Pembaris now and sign up!

Disclaimer: This entry is stricly comes from me without any suggestions or being asked by Pembaris to write about them. And no payment received. This is just my personal "feel of responsibility" to support Malaysians to success. Adios!

Manchester United won the CL....sad day for me

Kudos to MU and MU fans all over the world especially Malaysia. Why am I sad? Obviously I'm not MU fan to be honest but I just want to congratulate to them, because I love football so much, I hurt my fingers playing PES 2008 so often :P.

My favorite team of all time will only be AC Milan. Yeah, I'm a milan tifosi, or Milanista, or whatever other Milan fans would like to call themselves.

Unfortunately for Milan (Inter Milan = Inter, AC Milan = Milan) this coming CL season there's no more action because Milan are in the 5th position and only qualified to play in UEFA Cup. So UEFA Cup competitors, beware, the world champion is coming and reviving from "CL grave".

FORZA MILAN!!!

My target - Nokia E51

I've been "spying" on Nokia E51 for about a month and now I can't resist to wait to buy one! I fell in love with it! The design is simple yet ergonomics and quality built, and will not put a hole through my pocket (bugdet wise man).

Below are the features that makes me fell in love with this model:
1. WiFi
2. HSDPA
3. EDGE & GPRS support
4. Symbian S60 3rd edition with Features Pack 1
5. Slim and elegant design

Eventhough its camera just 2MP but its enough for me because if I want a camera, I'll go for the real camera :P.

Now come to me E51!!

Tun M out, Ezam in?

The Star - Ezam to rejoin UMNO

Ezam as most Malaysian knows, he is the "orang kuat" for Anwar Ibrahim when the latter was detained in jail.

Tun Mahathir, no need more explanation. His name is already enough to make Malaysian proud to have a leader like him. And he is the "orang kuat" in UMNO.

Recently we know UMNO is fighting for its stability inside and outside of its party. Tun M membership resignation from UMNO was like a shot-in-the-head for the party. But one promising leader who many said as "the rising star", Ezam, are to rejoin UMNO. This should be a blow to PKR as Ezam was the PKR Youth leader.

The questions arise from my mind, can Ezam persuade PKR's members to rejoin UMNO too for strengthening the party and its support from the Malay? Can he be the savior to solve UMNO's current problem - "perpecahan"?

Malaysia is important for Google?

Yes we are! As I've read in Utusan Online, Google said that Malaysia is their biggest users in South East Asia.

Duh, not that we can crumble their business if we not using Google's plethora of services :p (I'm using one now, heh heh).

But this shows that Malaysians are active in the virtual world and Google also would like to research our behavior while accessing internet, e.g which website we're surfing, what kind of website are the most visited, etc etc... for their plan to expand their business in this region.

So guys, be prepared to be the white rat for Google researchers :) .

WCIT 2008 - Positive Mega Impact for Malaysia

World Congress of Information Technology (WCIT) 2008 that being held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre ends today. The congress has succeeded to attract billions of investment from IT mega players such as HP, TeleTech, AIG and Rhythm And Hues Studios, as said by Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. The total investment is MYR 8.3 billion (USD $ 2.6 billion), thus offering lots of business opportunity and also job opportunities for the Malaysians. This success is a sign and proof that big investors are very confident in Malaysia’s capability in ICT sector.

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr. Maximus Ongkili who also at the congress press conference said that Malaysia will set up a database for potential business in ICT sector and the database will serve in giving current information on ICT products and services available to the member countries of the World Information Technology and Service Alliance (WITSA).
